ADVANCE HOMILETICS

  • 21 Steps

About

This course is an advanced study in Homiletics, designed to equip leaders with the theology, history, and practical skills of expository preaching. Tailored for those serving in local churches, denominational bodies, and para-church ministries, it offers a comprehensive foundation in the science and art of interpreting and proclaiming God’s Word with clarity, conviction, and contextual relevance. The course unfolds in four structured units. The first section explores the historical development and theological grounding of preaching, tracing its evolution from the ministry of Jesus to the modern era. The second and third sections guide students through a step-by-step process of sermon preparation—from prayerfully selecting a text to exegeting the passage, identifying its central theme, and crafting a biblically faithful and impactful message. The final section focuses on sermon delivery, long-term preaching strategy, and leadership development, with a strong emphasis on mentoring emerging preachers within the local church. With a blend of theological depth and hands-on application, this course will enable each participant to preach with biblical fidelity, relevance to today’s pluralistic world, and a vision for raising up future generations of faithful communicators of God’s Word.
